“For us, the great imponderable of Australian Shiraz is ‘is it sweet or is it savoury?’ Can it be both? You bet! We figure the great Shiraz based wines in the world (which happen to be bloody good fun to drink with….. or without food) are precisely that; not just sweet fruit, oak and alcohol. There is no Viognier in our wine, not because we are over the whole V thing but because we don’t grow any, and as you all know, if it isn’t in our gravel, it isn’t in our wine. We like our wine to be earthy, spicy and medium to full bodied. This is a pretty good stab at it – it has enough cuddly fruit to curl up in, but finishes dry and savoury. Priced for you to drink lots of.
